Airlab completed the Singapore Pavilion for the Seoul Biennale

Singapore pavilion project held in Seoul Dongdaemun Design Plaza is a collaboration of ASD team led by Felix Raspall and Carlos Bannon with the other professors that contributed to this exhibit. It addresses the theme of the exhibition “Commoning Cities”, by identifying 4 main challenges or opportunities in Singapore. Entitled “White Space”, the pavilion showcases 8 strategies developed by ASD faculty in response to these opportunities, culminating in various architectural and urban designs in selected urban voids or white spaces. The installation takes this concept of white space to test new spatial typologies that respond to emerging socio-economic issues in Singapore. With these experimental interventions, the ASD faculty team envisions Singapore to become a prototype for the world.
